Changelog
Fixes and changes to the games on this site. Most fixes start from reports sent with the Report a bug button at the bottom of every page. Players whose reports led to a fix are credited by their nickname.

- Minigolf (Native Browser): In multiplayer games with ball collisions on, the first stroke could hit the opponent's ball on the tee.
Cause: At the start of every stroke the ball was moved to its position rounded down to whole pixels. On the tee this moved it half a pixel towards the other ball, and the collision check counted that as a hit. The original Java game never moves the ball before a stroke.
Fix: The ball keeps its exact position, and only a ball that has actually drifted from the server position is corrected. Replays use the same rule.

- Pool: Aiming was off by about one pixel.
Cause: Inside the game page the game could be scaled by a fraction, for example when the browser showed a scrollbar. Mouse coordinates were also rounded to the nearest pixel, while the original game expects them rounded down.
Fix: The game is drawn at its exact original size inside the game page, and mouse coordinates are rounded down.
Reported by Gaia.
- Pool: The crosshair cursor could disappear after moving the pointer out of the game and back.
Cause: The original game sets the crosshair only when a turn starts. When the pointer left the game or the window lost focus, the browser reset the cursor, and nothing set it again until the next shot.
Fix: The crosshair is set again when the pointer comes back to the game or its window gets focus.
Reported by Gaia.
- Timangi, Atomix and Sleepz: The connection dropped often during a game.
Cause: The game sends almost no data while a level is played, and the web server closed connections that were idle for 60 seconds. Reconnecting also failed, because the game sends its first message encrypted after a dropped connection and the server did not accept it.
Fix: The server keeps the connection alive with a small message every 25 seconds, allows idle sessions for up to 15 minutes, and accepts the encrypted first message so reconnecting works.
Reported by Makkarakoju.
- Site: Browsers showed no icon in the tab.
Fix: Added the original Playforia icon.

- Minigolf (Native Browser): Added the browser version of Minigolf. It uses your site nickname, and Daily Cup results are saved to your account.
- Minigolf (Native Browser): Shared Daily Cup results linked to the old Minigolf site, and the Exit replay button did nothing.
Cause: Share links used the address of the old site, and the Exit replay button did not leave the replay view.
Fix: Share links open the replay on this site, and Exit replay returns to the start of the game.
- Minigolf (Native Browser): Opening the game sometimes failed with a connection error.
Cause: Loading a game page sends many requests at once, and the request limits of the web servers rejected some of them.
Fix: Raised the limits for page loads, gave account requests their own limit, and made the game retry rejected requests.
- Bubbles: After a shot the aiming pointer was drawn in the top left corner instead of at the ball.
Cause: In the browser Java runtime, the code that draws the aiming pointer read the ball position incorrectly. The original game itself is correct.
Fix: The pointer drawing reads the ball position in a way that works in the browser. Nothing else in the game was changed.
- Java games: Games could look blurry or wrongly sized on screens with display scaling.
Cause: The browser Java runtime drew the games at the screen's pixel ratio instead of their original pixel size.
Fix: The games are drawn at their original pixel size.
- Legacy Minigolf: The game window was larger than the game and partly misplaced.
Cause: The window size included space for frame borders that the browser does not draw.
Fix: The window now has the exact game size and position.
- Pool: Switching between game rooms could fail.
Cause: The server sent the room list again every time a player returned to room selection, which the original game does not expect.
Fix: The room list is sent once, and later visits only update the player counts.
- Site: Added the Report a bug button to every page and the What is this? page.
